Our Organization

Each September/October, employees, family and friends from the airline community come together for the World Airline Road Race (WARR).

WARR is a professionally run, volunteer driven, four-day event put on by airline members offering to host in their home city. Now entering its 36th year in 2017, with over 1,500 participants from 50+ airlines, the World Airline Road Race is one of the largest annual airline athletic events in the world.

The host airline, in conjunction with the International WARR Committee, organizes activities for airline employees in the spirit of fun and friendly competition. Although the medals and trophies are great, the true reward of the World Airline Road Race is the team-building, company pride and spirit displayed by participants and volunteers. In addition to the morale boost within companies, it is a great way to travel the world with colleagues, friends and family.

Meet-and-greet parties and a airline T-shirt-swap party that recognizes best team shirts, lead up to the 5K and 10K walk-and-run on day four. The awards dinner and dance that ends the event is a great chance to meet airline professionals from all over the world. Participation awards are also presented to all airlines that compete in one of four divisions (determined by the number of employees within each airline).
